Let's get rolling! The time is NOW for adult-use sales in New Jersey!

#OpenNJNow

  • New Jersey’s Alternative Treatment Centers (the majority of which comprise New Jersey Cannabis Trade Association) have ample supply to service the adult-sales market now without harming access for medical cannabis patients.

  • In 2020, New Jersey became the first state in the Mid-Atlantic to legalize adult-use cannabis. Today, the legal NJ cannabis industry languishes despite a readiness of the State’s 12 Alternative Treatment Centers (ATC) to serve both patients and adult-use consumers.

  • The NJ Legislature stated that the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC) may commence adult-use sales at any time between Aug. 22, 2021, and Feb. 22, 2022 -- which was deemed the latest date possible.

  • The August 2021 passing of the CRC’s regulations for the adult-use cannabis market was a sign of progress; however, New Jersey citizens still do not have a safe and lawful place to purchase it.

  • It was indicated in a recent news story that adult-use sales in New Jersey may be further delayed until mid-2022. No reason or justification was provided.

  • New Jersey’s ATC operators have been working non-stop and investing substantial time, money and resources into expanding their operations to prepare for recreational sales – hiring more staff, building more distribution centers, expanding cultivation sites. They are ready to open for adult-use sales today.

  • It cannot be emphasized enough that the ATCs in New Jersey have ample supply and resources to service adult-use consumers now without harming access for NJ's medical cannabis patients, who will always come first.

  • There is simply no need for any further delay.
